Chestnut Hill Realty is dedicated to professional management through a commitment to its employees, residents and the communities in which it operates.

Chestnut Hill Realty is one of New England’s leading full service real estate companies, specializing in multifamily housing. Established in 1969, CHR owns and manages 27 apartment home communities in Greater Boston and Rhode Island. Service offerings include apartment rentals, corporate/temporary housing, development and commercial leasing.

Organization
Chestnut Hill Realty is built from the ground up to master every detail of owning and managing real estate. We have developed a synergistic infrastructure that includes specialized departments dedicated to each management function. Each department is led by a manager with years of hands-on experience.
CHR is an industry leader in its use of innovative technology and green initiatives. Respect, teamwork and pride are the foundation of the Company’s culture and management style.

Property Management
The Property Management division assures that the apartment communities are clean, attractive and in good working order. The highest priority is given to providing outstanding customer service through its 24-hour maintenance guarantee and a feature-rich, pass code protected resident website. The Company employs the latest property and asset management software for day-to-day operations, project management and collaboration.

Investment
The Investment division provides asset management expertise to ensure profitability through accurate reporting and established controls that protect the investors. This division supports growth through strategic acquisitions and development. Over the years, CHR has remained true to its core principles by avoiding passing fads and investing only for the long term.

Development
The Development division oversees construction management and general contracting for CHR residential and commercial properties. Areas of responsibility include due diligence, permitting, community relations, design and cost estimating.

Horticulture
The Horticulture division maintains all property grounds to ensure a functional, safe and visually appealing appearance. The division is responsible for landscaping and upkeep of all CHR residential and commercial properties.

Maintenance
The Maintenance department provides ongoing non-emergency and emergency repair services and scheduled maintenance to all of Chestnut Hill Realty’s owned and managed properties. Our 24-hour maintenance guarantee ensures that all repair issues are addressed promptly.

Accounting
The Accounting Department records, processes, and ensures the accuracy of all income and expenses for CHR. They supply management with financial reports that provide guidance in operating the company. The Accounting Department works closely with the rest of the company generating annual budgets. They provide material support to systems implementation, procedure development and training.

Information Technology
The Information Technology department delivers innovative property and asset management software and support to manage day to day business operations. It recently introduced a state-of-the art website to promote the Company’s diverse apartment communities and a resident services portal.

Human Resources
The Human Resources Department constantly strives to improve CHR’s place as an Employer of Choice. This is accomplished through a strong focus on our employees through all functions of the human resources operation, including employee relations, benefits, payroll, recruiting, training, performance management and compensation. We are proud to direct our Create Healthy Results Wellness Program, which focuses on improving the overall wellness of our organization through activities in nutrition, fitness, stress relief, etc. Our Wellness Program was featured in the Partnership for Prevention’s national brochure Leading by Example for small businesses. Human Resources has a seat on the Operations Committee and participates as a partner in many Strategic Initiatives.
