New Partnership for Prevention Report Highlights Successful Worksite Health Programs at Small to Medium-Sized Companies

CHESTNUT HILL, MA– Partnership for Prevention recently released, “Leading by Example: The Value of Worksite Health for Small to Medium Sized Employers,” a publication produced in collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) that addresses how nearly 20 small to medium-sized employers – including Chestnut Hill Realty– lowered barriers to creating effective worksite health programs through the active engagement of the CEO.

“We are pleased to offer our employees a program that promotes healthier choices and can improve their quality of life. Our Create Healthy Results initiative is being enthusiastically received. The wellness events we sponsor are well attended and have proven to be great morale boosters and team builders,” said Edward Zuker, Chief Executive Officer.

The Chestnut Hill Realty Create Healthy Results wellness program is designed to educate the Company’s employees on health-related topics and inspire them to incorporate positive changes. Program offerings include wellness and benefits fairs, “lunch and learn” mini seminars, chair massages to reduce stress, and an annual 5K race. Create Healthy Results also sponsored a health risk assessment, which more than 50% of the employees participated in.

The Leading by Example initiative, a peer-to-peer communication campaign targeted to the CEOs of organizations on the efficacy of worksite health promotion, was launched by Partnership for Prevention in 2004. Leading by Example: The Value of Worksite Health for Small to Medium Sized Employers is available at www.prevent.org .
